Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 12 March 1988. Brown talks of her early life in Birmingham, Alabama, of her conversion to the Mormon Church as an adult in Columbus, Ohio, of her courtship and marriage to a non-Mormon, and about her children. She comments on her own as well as other experiences of blacks in the Mormon Church in Columbus, Ohio.
